THE boss of Wetherspoons has warned the price of a pint will go up by 20p in the coming days as breweries are already pushing through hikes on the back of costs pressures from the Budget. Sir Tim Martin said the government kept heaping pressure on pubs through higher taxes and costs. The pub industry had already faced demands for higher prices from breweries, which had increased their prices by around 7p per pint in the past week, he revealed.

A HIGH street bank, trusted by millions of loyal customers, is set to hike fees on a popular account in a matter of weeks. The Co-operative Bank is increasing the monthly charge on its Everyday Extra package bank account in July. Everday Extra is a current account which provides additional benefits compared to Co-op's standard bank accounts. It functions like a regular current account, allowing direct debits, standing orders, and other standard banking operations.

WETHERSPOONS is set to launch 15 brand-new pubs in the coming days, hot on the heels of a surge in sales. The pub giant revealed like-for-like sales had jumped 5.6% in the 13 weeks to April 27 this morning. With two new pubs already unveiled this year - in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, and at London Waterloo station - Spoons has ambitious plans to add up to 15 more, with six locations and opening dates already locked in.

ASOS has made a huge change to deliveries just months after introducing a new fee, and it's welcome news for shoppers. The online fashion giant has extended the cut-off time for placing orders that qualify for next day delivery. This follows a temporary change by ASOS several weeks ago, when the cut-off time for next-day delivery was reduced from 9pm to 7pm. However, the retailer has told The Sun that the shorter time window has been scrapped.
