If you’re a petrolhead in the UK, you’re well catered for during the summer months. The weather might not always play ball but the country’s love of cars is such that there’s some kind of automotive event happening seemingly every weekend. Skoda has unveiled the new Elroq vRS performance model, which gets a significant boost in power and a sportier interior design. A go-faster version of Skoda’s practical-yet-compact electric SUV, the Elroq vRS is the Czech brand’s fastest-accelerating and fastest-charging production model to date. Under the skin, the car gets two electric motors — one on the front axle and one at the rear — to provide all-wheel drive and 335bhp.

Today I’m driving something about which I can’t say very much, but the back end looks a bit like this… https://t.co/D0gO6b333h

Finally, it is now socially acceptable to tell a Fiat 500 to “get in the sea” https://t.co/W6UlGVel2y

Been looking through this thread for a while now and still haven’t seen a mention of racing driver Scott Speed. Disappointing.

I’m writing something about the famous field of nominative determinism and would love your best examples. Mine (so far) is the consultant urologist Mr Burns-Cox.
