Four-time Speedway GP world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik says he is not concerned about producing a record-breaking 24th SGP win. Zmarzlik extended his Speedway Grand Prix World Championship lead by two points after finishing third in Prague last weekend. The Pole is currently tied on 23 SGP victories with Jason Crump and is yet to finish in top spot this season.

Carlos Alcaraz is through to the semi-finals of the French Open for the second year in a row after a comfortable 6-3 7-6(3) 6-4 win over Stefanos Tsitsipas. Tsitsipas was made to rue a number of costly errors in a match where Alcaraz was rarely troubled. The world No. 3 will play Jannik Sinner in the last four after the Italian beat Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets earlier in the day. The first set was very straightforward for Alcaraz as Tsitsipas made 33 unforced errors.

Unai Emery has signed a new five-year contract at Aston Villa which means the Spaniard is tied to the Villa Park club until 2029. His new deal comes after a successful campaign which saw the Premier League club finish fourth in the table and qualify for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in their history - albeit they did win what was then called the European Cup in 1982. “I am very happy to take this step and the responsibility of leading this club," Emery told Villa's official website.
