The Komets, along with every other team in the ECHL, announced their season-ending rosters on Monday to begin the process of setting up their rosters for next season. Season-ending rosters can include up to 20 players, and only players signed to ECHL contracts in the 2024-25 season can be listed. For the Komets, that means players signed to Edmonton, including goaltenders Connor Ungar and Nathan Day, weren’t among those on the final list.

After a rough start to his season, TinCaps right-hander Isaiah Lowe finally got back into his rhythm. Lowe matched his season-high of five innings pitched on June 14 against South Bend and recorded six strikeouts. His one run allowed came on a balk. An impressive day on its own, it shrunk Lowe’s ERA — which stood at 15.19 after two appearances — to 5.82. “Every time you start, you have to have your confidence up, whether you or the team is doing good or bad,” Lowe said.

TinCaps right-handed pitcher Eric Yost was named the Midwest League Pitcher of the Week on Monday after commanding a one-hit shutout in his last outing. The righty went seven innings in the TinCaps' 10-0 win over the Dayton Dragons on Saturday, allowing just one hit — a double on the first pitch of the game — and walking just one batter. Yost retired 16 batters in a row and 20 of the final 22 that he faced, including nine strikeouts.

The Komets traded forward Brannon McManus to the Adirondack Thunder to complete future considerations for the acquisition of forward Blake Murray, the teams announced today. McManus played 61 games for the Komets in his lone season in Fort Wayne, scoring 16 goals to go with 15 assists. Murray was acquired by the Komets on March 20 in a trade with the Thunder, who previously added the 23-year old from the Atlanta Gladiators.
