Bucks Council says it is dealing with ongoing issues with its special needs education transport system which led to some children being kept at home in Aylesbury. Aylesbury MP, Laura Kyrke-Smith, said numerous parents in her constituency contacted her when schools re-started on Monday to raise concerns with changes to the council’s transport service. One parent told The Bucks Herald a special needs child was left in Oxford after no taxi was arranged to collect them after school.

Hertfordshire Constabulary is warning residents of fraudsters posing as police officers within the county. A number of instances involving people pretending to be police officers have been reported in recent weeks, Hertfordshire Constabulary has revealed. During the last week of May fraudsters targeted six residents, and stole £12,000 in total. Fake officers asked residents to hand over their bank cards or money.

Police officers are warning residents to be vigilant following a series of ATM thefts reported throughout Hertfordshire. Hertfordshire Constabulary is raising the alarm after over 100 cash machine thefts have been reported in the county. All these crimes have been reported since April from banks in the Borehamwood, Hemel Hempstead and Watford areas of Hertfordshire.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning in Aylesbury as it warns of potential thunderstorms coming this weekend. A new warning has been issued by the agency which comes into effect tomorrow. It lasts from 9am to 6pm and covers large parts of the south of England.

A man from Hemel Hempstead who no one had heard from for three weeks has been found after a police appeal. Hertfordshire Constabulary confirmed Alex had been located yesterday evening. He was reported as missing earlier that day, and was last heard from on May 15, prior to yesterday. A social media appeal was launched yesterday morning asking for the public’s help locating the man from Hemel Hempstead. Continue Reading

It feels like the people who direct football matches don't actually like football. As if the constant cut aways to the touchline and slow motion replays weren't bad enough

Not only does this feel like a hugely Americanised idea, whenever I’ve seen them done in NFL, NBA etc they always provoke the most basic of insights and act as pure filler. Players and managers aren’t going to tell you anything of interest whilst the game’s on. It’s pointless.
