A man was rushed to hospital following a collision which took place in Aylesbury today. At around 7.30am, a Yamaha YZF-R1 motorcycle and a white Volkswagen Polo were involved in a collision on Risborough Road, at the junction of Old Risborough Road in Stoke Mandeville. Thames Valley Police has confirmed that a man in his 40s was rushed to hospital as a result of injuries suffered during the crash and remains at the facility.

A popular racing site in Aylesbury which has been closed since 2021 is set to reopen this year. Forestry England has announced that Aston Hill Bike Park is due to reopen in 2025. Known for hosting downhill mountain biking races that attracted riders from all across the country, the site has been closed since 2021 because of ash dieback disease. This caused a safety risk and led to the agency shutting the park indefinitely.

Bar+Block Steakhouse in Avebury Boulevard changes its menu each season to offer alternatives to its main staple of meals. A housing company has submitted a new application to construct further homes within Buckinghamshire. Last week, Livedin submitted an application to Bucks Council to construct new homes within Little Kingshill. Plans, which can be viewed on the authority’s planning portal here, are for between one to nine new homes on a paddock just south of Windsor Lane. Livedin says the application has been launched to address a lack of ‘self-build’ homes currently available within the area.
