Cincinnati is signing Notre Dame defensive tackle Howard Cross III and Arkansas defensive tackle Eric Gregory. Other notable signings including Oklahoma State wide receiver Rashod Owens and Ohio State center Seth McLaughlin.     CINCINNATI — The Bengals selected Clemson linebacker Barrett Carter with the 119th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. He had 82 tackles (10.5 for loss) and 3.5 sacks last season. He was Dane Brugler's ninth linebacker and projected to be a fourth round pick. He had 31.5 tackles for loss and 12.5 sacks in four seasons at Clemson. "A speedy run-and-hit athlete, Carter is one of the best open-field pursuit defenders in this draft class and has genuine sideline-to-sideline range," Brugler wrote.

    CINCINNATI — Former Cincinnati Reds General Manager Walt Jocketty passed away. He was 74 years old. The news broke on Saturday morning. Jocketty is most known for his work with the St. Louis Cardinals, where he helped them win the World Series in 2006. He joined the Reds in 2008 and was named general manager a few months later. Jocketty won Sporting News Executive of the Year in 2010 after helping the Reds make the postseason for the first time in 15 years.
