Croft councillor Mark Peart has been elected as leader following a meeting of the party’s newly elected members on Wednesday (May 14). Fellow Blyth councillor Natalie Rolls, who represents the Wensleydale ward, has been appointed deputy leader. It comes after Reform won 23 of the 69 seats on the county council at the local election on May 1. It made Nigel Farage’s party the second largest group on the council, behind the Conservatives on 26 seats.
