On a hill shaped like a skull, the Son of God hung on a cross between two thieves. Satan surely thought he was witnessing God’s greatest defeat, but he was witnessing his own ultimate destruction and the possibility for those dead in sin to come alive now and forever.

“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done” (Luke 22:42, NIV).

"Then Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve disciples, went to the leading priests to arrange to betray Jesus to them. They were delighted when they heard why he had come, and they promised to give him money. So he began looking for an opportunity to betray Jesus" (Mark 14:10-11).

This Sunday we will celebrate the greatest moment in history—when our Savior gave His life so that we might have abundant life now and for eternity. He victoriously conquered death and the grave in resurrection power on that first Easter morning!

Jesus is the way. He is alive. Forgiveness and life are available because He died that we might live. He conquered death and is alive to live in us. May we, with yielded hearts and open minds, pray, “Thy will be done.”

“Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised” (Hebrews 10:35-36, NIV).

“God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Corinthians 5:21, NIV).

I pray for a change of heart & direction. As individuals and as a nation, may we embrace the truth of God and live with the character, strength & faith that made America great in the first place. Only then will selfless love prevail over selfish indulgence.

The Lord is the only One who can truly prepare a table of provision, fruitfulness & joy before us in the face of every enemy & accuser. In the midst of brokenness, He anoints our head with oil & promises that “goodness & mercy shall follow us all the days of our life.”

He sends us as sheep in the midst of wolves, but not to be slaughtered. We are to be sheep walking and living in the shadow of the Almighty, the shelter of His wings and with the Great Shepherd guiding and illuminating our path.

We will never run out of energy as long as freedom-loving people are led and energized by the God of all creation. Americans do not have an energy crisis; we have a knowledge-of-truth crisis. The fact is, we do not face one crisis that people committed to God cannot overcome.

Simon Peter’s last-days instructions direct us to stand firm against the devil—and to consider our Christian brothers & sisters around the world who are suffering. His words challenge us to live holy and godly lives, looking forward to the return of the Lord. Are you ready?

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work” (2 Tim. 3:16, NLT).

“Friends, when life gets really difficult, don’t jump to the conclusion that God isn’t on the job. Instead, be glad that you are in the very thick of what Christ experienced. This is a spiritual refining process, with glory just around the corner” (1 Pet. 4:12-13, The Message).

It's time to show the world what the family of the perfect Father looks like & to love one another with His love. I will spend the rest of my life seeking to inspire that. Not perfect people loving perfectly—but imperfect people learning to love perfectly, unconditionally.

“Father, I ask you for Your continued healing in our land. We have seen judgment. We have seen the enemy's work. Beyond damaging, it's deadly—and yet we see the power of Your love. God, raise up an army of believers that look like You. In the name of Jesus. Amen."

Don't ever wonder if prayer works! When you see something that needs changing, handle it with prayer. There is so much hate prevailing that we need to pray a shield of protection around those who are magnifying truth & God's principles with conviction.
