Pro-Palestinian protesters who set up camp at the University of Guelph more than a month ago say they will pack up and leave by next Monday. The demonstrators say in a written statement that they will be leaving on their own timeline, which will give them the chance to do so safely and without damaging the camp materials. They say equipment used at the encampment will be donated to those struggling as a result of the housing crisis.

A Kitchener neighbourhood group is anxiously awaiting a decision from Kitchener city staff about whether or not it will extend Biehn Drive in the Brigadoon Woods area of the city. The proposal would see housing built on farm field land near Strasburg Creek but part of that development would need infrastructure built in the area. That's where the Biehn Drive extension would come in to help developers get the infrastructure that's needed to build on those lands.

The organizers of the pro-Palestinian encampment at the University of Waterloo have announced that they will be voluntarily decamping Sunday at 8 p.m. It comes after officials from the University of Waterloo said it will withdraw their claim and injunction against the protesters once organizers vacate the encampment.

The 11th annual Farwell4Hire campaign has come to a close with another large total being donated to Cystic Fibrosis Canada. CityNews 570 Talk Show Host Mike Farwell announced on social media Thursday night that $132,000 has been raised this year. "We simply could not have done it this year without our friends at TLC Pet Food in New Hamburg," said Farwell. "Hands down, no question, a $40,000-matching sponsorship," he added.
