Hey Friends,As you probably know, we stopped charging for Substack subscriptions in 2023. Substack used to only allow us to turn off the paywall in timed increments (one year at most) so on the backend we would re-pause charges every year. It looks like the paywall reactivated on March 15th, and a few hundred accounts who had been subscribed years ago were automatically charged again.
