KUCHING: About 30 per cent of projects carried out this year by the Sarawak Public Works Department (PWD) are ahead of schedule, according to its director Cassidy Morris. Expressing satisfaction with the department’s performance he said there were no major delays or stalled projects. “From my observations, PWD Sarawak has done an excellent job executing the projects entrusted to us. Naturally, some projects have been completed while others are ongoing, which is typical of contract work.

KUCHING: The Sarawak government has allocated RM1.7 million to the Sarawak Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) to enhance efforts in curbing drug abuse within the state. Bukit Aman NCID Director Datuk Seri Khaw Kok Chin expressed gratitude to Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg for the contribution of four Toyota Hilux vehicles and 19 units of Instant Visual Drug Detectors (IVDD).
