    MOLINE, Ill. — The Storm Track 8 Weather Team is tracking the potential for another round of severe weather heading into the upcoming weekend as a strong storm system is currently forecasted to move through the region. Very strong non-thunderstorm wind gusts of 35-45 mph from the southwest will likely be ahead of this system on Friday afternoon through Friday evening, potentially leading to increased fire danger.

    MOLINE, Ill. — The Quad Cities area is in for a windy end to the workweek as a Weather Impact Alert has been issued for Friday between noon and 6 p.m. Wind Gusts: Strong winds reaching up to 50 mph may lead to isolated power outages across the region. Fire Risk: The combination of warm temperatures, dry conditions, and gusty winds will increase fire danger, especially for areas south and west of the Quad Cities.
