HEATHROW Airport is shut for the entire day due to a "significant power outage" after a fire ripped through a nearby electrical station. The airport, the busiest in Europe, will remain closed until 11.59pm on Friday - causing travel chaos and leaving thousands stranded. Around 120 flights are having to be diverted to alternative airports or are returning to their original destinations, according to FlightRadar24. In total, the closure is expected to impact more than 1,300 flights.

BreakingA MAN has been charged after a car ploughed into four people on a pavement in central London on Christmas Day. One of the pedestrians has been left fighting for their life following the "violent attack" at around 12.45am. Anthony Gilheaney, 30, has been charged with four counts of attempted murder following the crash. He is also charged with causing serious injury by driving whilst disqualified, driving a motor vehicle dangerously and possession of a bladed article in a public place.

MAX George has revealed he is being discharged from hospital after undergoing heart surgery. The Wanted singer, 36, was rushed to hospital earlier this month after falling unwell. He later revealed he had to stay in due to cardiac issues and underwent a serious operation after his condition failed to improve.
