    In August 2023, Ford pulled the wraps off a new performance Mustang GTD, designed to fit global GT3 racing categories. It would pit the famed nameplate squarely against other storied performance cars: BMW M4, Chevrolet Corvette Z06R, Ferrari 296, Porsche’s 911 R, Aston Martin Vantage AMR Evo, Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, Lamborghini Huracán Evo 2, McLaren 720S Evo, Acura NSX Evo22, and Lexus RC F.

    Documentation isn’t the only thing to look at when assessing a collector car, but the more material you can gather establishing its provenance, the better. For Mopars from the Sixties and Seventies, that provenance can be backed in paper and metal. Stamped steel VIN plates can be found in the corner of the windshield or in the inside of the door opening on the driver’s side. Chrysler typically stuffed the computerized broadcast sheet under the rear seat, essentially woven into the seat springs.

    The organizers of the Geneva International Motor Show decided it is time to cancel the event, which began back in 1905, indefinitely. The news was announced on Friday, May 31. The Geneva Motor Show is known as the premier automotive show in Europe. At its peak, the event hosted upwards of 120 exhibitors. Before going on a five-year hiatus, the Geneva Show attracted 600,000 visitors in 2019. Earlier this year, the 2024 Geneva Show relaunched after being canceled for 2020 due to the pandemic.

    Chevrolet dropped a second teaser that portrays the 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 as the next fastest and most extreme model to roll out of the factory. The high-revving engine is heard clearly in the latest video, giving clues to what will power the C8-generation ZR1 supercar. The video shows a bit more of the rendered ZR1 when compared to the first teaser that Chevrolet released in April of this year, but don’t blink or you’ll miss it.

    For the second time, the U.S. Department of Labor is pushing to prevent Hyundai and two subsidiaries in Alabama from participating in what is described as the illegal employment of children. This time, the automaker is said to have worked a 13-year-old for up to 60 hours per week. The aforementioned two subsidiaries, SMART Alabama and SL Hyundai, operate several facilities in Alabama and were recently found to employ dozens of underage workers.
