A recently completed mixed-use development in Hampstead will host a grand opening event this weekend. Oyster Creek Landing is a new project from Double Dimension LLC, the owner of Progress Point, a mixed-use retail and office development on Military Cutoff Road in Wilmington. According to a news release, Oyster Creek Landing is Double Dimension LLC’s first project in the Hampstead area. The development features ground-floor retail spaces, with professional office suites above, the release stated.

A 145,000-square-foot industrial building in Pender Commerce Park recently changed hands for $23.5 million. The Class-A warehouse facility at 310 N. Corporate Drive is fully leased, with tenants including Home Depot, Lansing Building Products and One Banana North America. Developed by Winston-Salem-based Ramm Capital Partners LLC, the industrial building was completed in 2023.

Work is moving ahead on a new intermodal rail yard at the Port of Wilmington, with the project on track for completion next year. The $22.5 million intermodal rail yard project broke ground in the fall of 2024, according to a N.C. Ports spokesperson. It will add four new working tracks to the Port of Wilmington’s container terminal with a combined length of 5,000 feet.
