The organization prides itself on offering clothing, furniture, household items and toys to those in need. In the Topeka area, they try to sell extremely affordable items in a clean, well-lit and beautiful environment. Leaders say they believe shopping in their thrift stores should be a loving and clean experience while feeling like you’re in an upscale environment.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - An adult man was shot and killed and a woman has been hospitalized with life-threatening gunshot wounds in the Capital City. Topeka Police say it happened shortly after 2:15 this morning. According to TPD they were called to the area of 3100 SW Westover Rd. for gunshots in the area. They arrived to find an adult man and an adult woman with life-threatening gunshot injuries. The victims were taken to a local hospital by ambulance.

The Keck family nominated Capper as a recipient in honor of their daughter Mireya. Mireya was afflicted with shaken baby syndrome as an infant, and the Keck family adopted her as their daughter after the tragic event.

The community’s small family-style living will allow 2-3 residents private rooms and common areas in each building. They have several supervision levels available to meet the unique needs of your loved one.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Toby Keith, the country music superstar who died Monday night after a three-year battle with stomach cancer, had a Kansas connection. The native of Clinton, Okla., wrote his first No. 1 hit “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” when he was in Dodge City. That hit, released in February 1993, catapulted Keith into a career spanning nearly three decades. Keith’s death was announced on his social media accounts as well as on his website.
