TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Washburn women’s tennis’ season came to an end in the Central Region Finals on Tuesday, one match shy of the National Championships. As the 2-seed, the Ichabods earned the right to be a host site and have a bye round. They faced 3-seed Nebraska Kearney in the finals, who took down Central Oklahoma in the opening round. The Ichabods led 1-0 after doubles, but the Lopers overpowered them in singles to win 4-2.
