OXFORD - The Choccolocco Monsters were cruising towards a two-game weekend sweep of the Cartersville Cannons on Saturday before Mother Nature intervened. The Monsters scored five runs in both the first and second innings to take a commanding 10-3 lead. The game was stopped with one out in the bottom of the third inning, and with severe weather on the way, a decision was quickly made to suspend the contest. It will be completed when the Monsters travel to Carterville in late June.
