LAFAYETTE — Big Bus. That’s been the mentality for Crawfordsville’s girls track and field team in 2025. How many girls can contribute, step up, and earn the team points. Depth has helped the Athenians reach their goals all season, and paid off again on Wednesday — lifting Crawfordsville to an IHSAA sectional title. Crawfordsville scored points in all 16 events and advanced to next week’s regional in 13 to total 145 points to secure the Lafayette Jeff Sectional.

Clay Allen has been dreaming of this moment since the day he started swimming when he was 7 years old. The chance at winning a sectional title and earning the opportunity to swim at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis in the IHSAA state finals.
