HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — In a decision that came down to the 11th hour for star wide receiver Lex Cyrus, the Susquehanna Township speedster chose the Gamecocks over the Nittany Lions. The Susquehanna Township rising senior is headed to South Carolina to play football at the next level, and told the media after making the announcement in the school auditorium that his decision between the two really came down to the wire. “Super close,” Cyrus said.

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — There’s a new rising star in boxing from right here in Harrisburg out of Capital Punishment Boxing Club as Antonio Perez is making waves in WBC Boxing. The Harrisburg native was already the WBC International Champion, but added another belt on June 7 with the WBC Fecarbox Title after beating Antonio Williams by unanimous decision on Don King Productions. Perez is a perfect 10-0 in just two years of professional boxing with five knock outs.

HERSHEY, Pa. (WHTM) — The Hershey Bears fell victim to a quick turnaround to start the Calder Cup Finals. From overtime in game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals to puck drop for game 1 of the Calder Cup Finals, the Bears had less than 48 hours to recharge for a rematch of last year’s finals. The result: a 4-3 loss to the Coachella Valley Firebirds in game 1 Friday night. Hershey had a whole different energy in game 2 Sunday evening.

DENVER, Pa. (WHTM) — Coming into Tuesday’s 2A state semifinal, Exeter boys volleyball hadn’t lost a set in 19 games. That included a sweep of Manheim Central in the 2A District III title game. The Barons had revenge on their mind in the 2A state semifinals and got exactly that, stunning Exeter in a five set thriller (25-23, 23-25, 20-25, 25-21, 16-14) to advance to the 2A state championship game for just the second time in school history.
