Now that their season is over, the Detroit Lions' assistant coaches can officially be hired away. Offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn are two top names in the current NFL head coaching carousel. During the Lions' bye week ahead of their 45-31 divisional round loss to the Washington Commanders, Johnson and Glenn both virtually interviewed for head coaching positions and can interview in person and potentially accept a job since Detroit's season is over.

Jeremy Chinn and Mike Sainristil turned and began waving goodbye as the rest of the Detroit Lions fans who had stayed until the end finally started heading to the exits. Chinn jumped in front of a Jared Goff pass intended for Tim Patrick at the goal line for the Washington Commanders' fourth interception and fifth forced turnover. The interception sealed Washington's shocking 45-31 upset over the Lions in the NFC divisional round at Ford Field.

The Detroit Lions may have lost Amik Robertson to an injury in the NFC divisional round showdown with the Washington Commanders. The injury happened in the first quarter on just the Commanders' second offensive play when Robertson was trying to make a tackle on a screen pass and Lions LB Jack Campbell hit him on the arm. Robertson was immediately taken to the locker room with a pair of trainers holding up his injured arm.
