A Memphis-based biotech device company has landed a contract from the Department of Defense (DoD) for a vaccine and antigen delivery system. Hera Health Solutions has developed a proprietary sustained-release drug delivery platform, which would be utilized for longer-acting vaccine delivery.

The St. Louis Cardinals become the latest sports franchise to return to over-the-air television. The Memphis Grizzlies announced in February a similar free TV slate of games. The St. Louis Cardinals plans to air at least 10 games in the 2025 season on St. Louis' KMOV-TV (Channel 4) and sister station Matrix Midwest, becoming the latest sports franchise to return to over-the-air television.

One of Memphis' largest private and family-owned companies is set to be acquired by a Chicago investment firm, which already has invested with other prominent local manufacturers. Pritzker Private Capital announced on Monday, March 3, that it has an agreement in place to acquire Buckman, a Memphis-based manufacturer of specialty industrial chemicals. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The company looks to expand into its space in the near future and hire workers to meet growth. A California company seeks to expand its Memphis operations with a recent production facility purchase. An LLC affiliated with Irvine-based Formosa Packaging acquired in January the property at 835 S. Bellevue Blvd. for $3.55 million, according to a deed filed with the Shelby County Register of Deeds. The facility previously housed Graphic Packaging, which closed and laid off 70 employees in 2024.
