VERMILLION, S.D. – The South Dakota women's tennis team is picked to finish second in the Summit League behind 10-time defending champion Denver according to the preseason poll announced Wednesday. The Coyotes earned 31 points in the voting done by league head coaches as Denver had 36 points, including six first-place votes.

The Coyote women won both relays contested while receiving individual wins from Phoebe Paarlberg and Grace Schultz.

Brett Barnett is pleased to announce the addition of Natalia Alves de Lima to the roster for the 2025 spring semester. de Lima, a native of Chapeco, Santa Catarina, Brazil, comes to South Dakota having been the top ranked player in the state of Santa Catarina for the U18 division. "I am very excited that Natalia has signed and will be joining the team in January," said Barnett.

Nick Rounds has been selected as the Summit League Peak Swimmer of the Week the league announced on Tuesday. Rounds, a freshman from West Des Moines, Iowa, earns his first career Men's Swimmer of the Week honors after contributing seven top three finishes for the Coyotes at the recently completed two-day Huskie (Coyote) Invitational.

ROCHESTER, Minnesota – South Dakota men's and women's swimming and diving teams combined for 26 top three finishes during Saturday's final day of the two-day Huskie (Coyote) Invitational from the Rochester-Olmstead County Recreation Center Natatorium. The Coyotes won six individual races – from six different swimmers – during the final day as both the men's and women's teams finished second in the final standings in the invite format event.

ROCHESTER, Minnesota – South Dakota men's and women's swimming and diving teams combined for 16 top three finishes during Friday's opening day of the two-day Huskie (Coyote) Invitational from the Rochester-Olmstead County Recreation Center Natatorium. A trio of freshmen and a senior accounted for four individual race victories on Friday in a meet that has five women's teams and three men's teams competing.

LAWERENCE, Kansas – South Dakota swimming and diving teams took part in a double dual on Friday and Saturday inside the Robinson Natatorium on the University of Kansas campus. The Coyote men earned a 208-139 win over Missouri S&T over the two-day meet compiling 12 golds, eight silvers and 14 bronze performances in the process. The women's team fell to Kansas by a final tally of 250-99 and combined for 17 top three finishes over the two-days.
