We're in store for an unseasonably hot day across the Southwest Florida Gulf Coast for this first day of April. The hot spots today will be away from the beaches and deeper inland where neighborhoods in Punta Gorda, Lehigh Acres, LaBelle and Immokalee will heat up into the low-to-mid 90s. Closer to the coast, daytime highs will push into the mid-to-upper 80s, but the super steamy air will make temperatures feel a few degrees hotter.
