Over a decade ago, MARTA installed 100 automated external defibrillators, or AEDs, in all 38 of itsrail stations. The installations were part of "Project Jumpstart," an initiative to save the lives of riders experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. Now, defibrillators in more than half of all MARTA stations have been relocated, officials with the transit agency told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Mayor Andre Dickens broke ground Friday on additional housing constructed for homeless people, part of a wider $212 million initiative Atlanta is racing to complete before hosting games during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Dickens and other city officials were at the site of a former homelessencampment on Cooper Street in the Mechanicsville neighborhood to announce the plan to rapidly house dozens of people in the community this year.

A group of seven female executives and entrepreneurs have come together to launch ATL TrailblazHER Angels, a women-led group of angel investors to invest in and support female founders.
