(25News Now) - The Illinois Department of Transportation has scheduled the fifth demolition of the old eastbound McClugage Bridge. IDOT announced that weather permitting, roads around the bridges will be closed around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 15. The following will be closed to all traffic on blast days and are expected to last up to an hour:Eastbound US 150 from IL 29 to IL 116. Westbound US 150 from IL 116 to IL 29. Ramps from IL 116 to US 150 to westbound US 150.

HUDSON (25News Now) - McLean County authorities have identified a Bloomington man who drowned in Lake Bloomington Thursday. Ernest F. Lamkey, 77, died from drowning, according to the preliminary autopsy opinion. Toxiclogy is pending, according to the McLean County Coronerβs Office. The McLean County Sheriffβs Office was called around 3:35 p.m. to the area of 18351 Kickapoo Lane in Hudson for a man who had fallen into the lake and could not get out.

BLOOMINGTON (25News Now) - Bloomington Police are investigating a stabbing that left a person injured Friday morning. Officers were called around 8:36 a.m. to an apartment building on Oakbrook Court for a person reportedly armed with a knife, finding a man with a stab wound to the abdomen. The victim was taken to an area hospital with injuries believed to be not life-threatening.

They cite unforeseen financial challenges, rising operational costs and insurance reimbursement issues as the cause for the decision, which was not made lightly.
