WEEK-TV is a television station that operates on virtual and UHF digital channel 25, affiliated with NBC, ABC, and CW+. It is based in Peoria, Illinois, and serves the North-Central Illinois viewing area. The station is owned by Quincy Media and has its studios and transmitter situated on Springfield Road, near I-474 in East Peoria, which is part of Groveland Township in Tazewell County. Previously, WEEK-TV shared its facilities with WHOI, which was an ABC affiliate at the time (now a Comet O&O station on channel 19, owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group). This partnership was governed by joint sales and shared services agreements (JSA/SSA) until those agreements ended on October 1, 2016. Following this change, WEEK-TV permanently took over the ABC and CW+ affiliations on its second and third digital subchannels.

PEORIA (25News Now) - Sunday afternoon, the first-ever Memorial Susan G. Komen for the Cure Mother’s Day brunch, Mother’s Day Breakfast and Bubbles, was held at Peoria’s Premier Event and Entertainment Center. Organizers said the event is continuing the celebration of the More Than Pink Walk, which marked its 40th anniversary on Saturday. People were invited to buy tickets to the event, honoring the special women in their lives. Guests were also able to pay for a raffle drawing.

It was the site of the Peoria Drum Circle’s annual spring festival, organized by Music Teacher Natasha Greene. Greene used to teach music across the street from Tower Park.

Under the Deal, Trump said the U.K. will reduce nontariff barriers on U.S. products like beef, ethanol, machinery, and chemicals. Illinois is the third-largest producer of ethanol in the U.S., exporting more than 100 million gallons to the U.K. every year.

MCLEAN COUNTY (25News Now) - Connect Transit confirmed it will be taking over rural McLean County transportation routes this summer. Normal Town Council voted to let the company operate outside of Bloomington-Normal’s corporate limit a month ago. The transportation company will take over Show Bus’s routes from Bloomington-Normal to outlying towns like Chenoa, Lexington, Towanda, Bellflower, LeRoy, Downs, and Saybrook.
