Earlier this year, Motor Fuel Group (MFG) lodged plans to upgrade the Morrisons filling station, off the A350 West Cepen Way in Chippenham. MFG carried out a significant refurbishment of the garage in 2024 after it bought Morrisons’ petrol stations across the country and retained the supermarket’s brand. The proposal for the Chippenham site included the creation of three new jet washes, a combi unit, and a valeting bay.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was reportedly approached by three people on mopeds and asked to hand over his belongings between 11.25pm and 11.50pm on Tuesday, June 3. He ran and was followed to the front of his home in May Close where he was allegedly racially abused and attacked with a knife.

Officers were called to Thamesdown Drive, near the junction for the Orbital Retail Park, after two cars were reportedly involved in a crash at around 7pm on Sunday, June 1. Police appeared to temporarily block part of the busy road while they responded to the incident.
