By Jason Willis Former LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy died Saturday night in Houston, according to multiple reports. Both WAFB and NOFootball confirmed the news Sunday morning. Lacy, 24, played for LSU's football team for three years. Prior to that he played football at UL-Lafayette for two years. He attended Thibodaux High School in Thibodaux, Louisiana. In December, Lacy declared for the 2025 NFL Draft.

BATON ROUGE, La. - If you stop by Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers today, you have a chance to give back to the Reveille, LSU's student newspaper. After being disqualified from Student Government elections Tuesday by the SG Election Court, the Foret-Tatman: Forward campaign is appealing to the SG University Court to have the decision overturned. Foret-Tatman: Forward was disqualified for misreporting campaign spending and listing several items, including jambalaya, gasoline for two generators and campaign buttons as donated items that cost it $0.

The LSU Student Government Foret-Tatman: Forward campaign was disqualified Tuesday in an SG Election Court preliminary decision for misreporting campaign spending, marking the second time the campaign has been disqualified. Foret-Tatman: Forward was previously disqualified before the elections because of bribery allegations, but that decision was overturned by the dean of students. Several state legislators in favor of having the campaign reinstated.

Tate IV wrote in an email to university faculty and staff Friday detailing numerous changes the school will be instituting to counteract uncertainty about the future of federal education funding. LSU will be freezing almost all hiring across the university effective immediately.
