Arizona Christian University is taking steps to educate students and parents about the dangers of cartels recruiting students for human smuggling. The issue of cartel recruitment of students is not limited to Arizona and affects communities in all border states. Lawmakers have reintroduced the Combating Cartels on Social Media Act in Congress, which would require the Department of Homeland Security to establish a national strategy to stop this recruitment.

Andrea Trischan is naming names. The Phoenix Suns’ former diversity, equity and inclusion manager sued the NBA franchise in federal court on Wednesday, filing an explosive complaint that alleges overt racism, sexual misconduct and possible financial misconduct by team executives. The 22-page complaint, obtained by The Arizona Republic, was filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona by attorney Sheree Wright, who is representing Trischan against Suns Legacy Partners, LLC.
