Arizona Christian University is taking steps to educate students and parents about the dangers of cartels recruiting students for human smuggling. The issue of cartel recruitment of students is not limited to Arizona and affects communities in all border states. Lawmakers have reintroduced the Combating Cartels on Social Media Act in Congress, which would require the Department of Homeland Security to establish a national strategy to stop this recruitment.
