This House budget blueprint vote is literally a crapshoot. Nobody knows if Speaker Johnson has the votes. It’s not even clear if he knows right now — because most of the holdouts have been meeting in the Senate for the past hour.

With most of the tariffs temporarily paused — multiple House Republicans have now publicly admitted to me they were “worried.” Several then went on to praise Trump for using the tariffs as negotiating tool.
