Trump congratulated the House on the bill’s passage, saying in a post on his Truth Social platform that this “sets the stage for one of the Greatest and Most Important Signings in the History of our Country.”“Among many other things, it will be the Largest Tax and Regulation Cuts ever even contemplated,” Trump said.

Speaker Mike Johnson met Tuesday at the White House with President Donald Trump and House Republicans holding out against voting for the Senate-approved budget bill to fund Trump's agenda. GOP leaders are again relying on Trump to help get the bill across the finish line this week before the House takes a two-week recess. After meeting for over an hour with about 20 hardliners, @SpeakerJohnson tells reporters he has scraped plans to vote on the budget resolution after a “subset” of Republicans could not get to yes.
And now @RepJeffries is challenging @SpeakerJohnson to debate the budget "one-on-one" on the floor -- and borrowing a line from @RepGregSteube. "I promise not to rebuke you in the name of Jesus," Jeffries quipped.
