    LINCOLN, NE (KTIV) - Things were looking great for the Sioux City Musketeers entering the third period of the first game of the USHL Western Conference Semifinals. The Musketeers were leading 2-1 after Nicholas Sykora and Giacomo Martino each netted goals late in the second period. But Daniel Schlaine and Aiden Janz would find the net for Lincoln in the third and the Stars would win game one 3-2.

    SIOUX CITY (KTIV) -One of Siouxland’s biggest track stars is returning to the Hawkeye state for competition as Shelby Houlihan will be running in both the Drake Road Races and the Drake Relays. Houlihan will be running in the grand blue mile road race on Tuesday April 22nd, as well as the women’s mile on the oval on Saturday the 26th. The women’s invitational mile is not run often at the Drake Relays and has a record that has stood for 50 years since it was set by Francie Larreu in 1975.

    SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Things looked glum for Morningside on Friday afternoon. The Mustangs fell to Waldorf in the opening game of a conference doubleheader 6-3. And then immediately gave up three runs to open game 2. Morningside would not only tie up the second game, but they would also score 20 runs in the matchup. The Mustangs would win game 2 20-10. After the day Morningside’s record sits at 25-12-1, they’re back in action for a doubleheader against Waldorf on Saturday, April 19th.
