Five years later, an MU Health Care physician said these effects are still being felt. People experiencing eating disorders were some of the most vulnerable to the effects of the pandemic because of increased stress and uncertainty associated with the lockdown, according to a review of studies conducted by the National Institutes of Health.

Missouri Wrestling officially opened its 2024-25 season with a victory in a dual meet against Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colo. The Tigers won six out of the ten matches finishing the meet with a score of 25-14. Freshman Aeoden Sinclair opened the tournament at 197 pounds with a 19-11 victory against Franklin Cruz. Led by a pair of takedowns in the third, Sinclair gave the Tigers a 4-0 advantage.

As Missouri Wrestling steps into its 2024-25 season, the team’s end goal is a high finish in the 2025 NCAA Men’s Wrestling Tournament, where they finished just short of the top-10 in the No. 11 spot last season. The Tigers will likely rely heavily on seniors Keegan O’Toole and Rocky Elam to place in the top three. The finishing placement will also depend on having at least five All-American placements, falling back on the other teammates to contribute on the mat.

On Sunday, Oct. 18, Missouri women’s golf finished out its fall season playing in the White Sands Bahamas Invitational hosted by the Texas A&M Aggies. This tournament consisted of two rounds with 18 holes played each day. The Aggies hosted 10 teams, including the Tigers, at the Ocean Club Golf Course in the Bahamas. The Tigers finished at No. 5 as a team scoring a plus-26 score with three golfers in the top-20 player leaderboard.

The Missouri women’s golf team finished in the No. 2 spot of the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational with a total score of 871. On the first day of the tournament, the Tigers held the No. 3 spot with a score of 581 after 36 holes. During the second day, Missouri posted the best team score at 290, moving them up a spot on the leaderboard. After the two-day tournament, Missouri finished with three golfers in the top 10 and five in the top 20.
