A couple more rounds of showers and storms are expected through tomorrow. After that a summer pattern of heat, humidity and only limited rain will take hold, last through most of the rest of June. For tonight look for showers and storms coming through after midnight. A few storms could be strong with heavy rain, lightning and gusty wind. Lows will be in the low 70s. Thursday starts off with widespread showers and storms in the morning. Again a few strong storms are possible.

We're not done with rain yet, but the end is in sight with a hotter and drier pattern taking shape by the end of the week. Showers and storms will wind down this evening. We'll be mostly cloudy and muggy the rest of the night with lows in the low 70s. Wednesday won't be as wet as Tuesday, but we still expect to see a few afternoon showers and storms. With less rain we'll be a little hotter with highs back in the upper 80s. Thursday brings another uptick in rain chances.

Daily showers and storm will continue for a few more days, but a building ridge of high pressure over the eastern U.S. later this week will begin to shut down rain chances and ramp up the heat. For tonight we'll see a few evening showers and storms. We'll be mostly cloudy the remainder of the night with lows in the low 70s. Tuesday through Thursday will continue to bring a daily round of showers and storms.

Scattered showers and storms will continue over the weekend, particularly on Saturday. For Father's Day rain will dry up for many of us with only a few showers remaining. Next week brings more hit or miss rain, especially early in the week. For tonight we'll see most showers and storms wind down this evening. Only a few spots of rain will hold on overnight. Lows will be in the low 70s. Saturday will bring another batch of showers and storms.

Scattered showers and storms returned today and we'll be looking at daily rain chance through the weekend and into next week. No day looks like a total washout. Organized severe weather isn't expected, but as is typical with summer storms, expect to see heavy downpours, frequent lightning, and some gusty wind. For tonight we'll see most rain dry up. We'll remain mostly cloudy and muggy with overnight lows in the low 70s.
