More rain is back by midweek with showers lingering perhaps into the weekend. The rest of the week will be warmer than it was Monday, but we'll still be a little below average for this time of year. For tonight look for partly cloudy skies with areas of fog possible. Lows will fall to around 50. Tuesday looks a little sunnier and warmer with highs in the upper 70s. Clouds and some rain are back on Wednesday as an upper level storm system approaches from the west.

The threat of severe weather has ended across north Alabama for tonight, but another round of storms Saturday will bring a low end risk for more severe weather. We'll see a few showers overnight with some steadier rain and a few storms returning late. Lows will be in the low 60s. Saturday the cold front will finally move through and bring with it another round of showers and storms. The SPC (storm prediction center) has us under a marginal risk for some gusty winds as that line moves through.

An unsettled pattern will stick with us until a cold front moves through on Saturday. Showers and storms will be possible at times until them with a low end severe weather risk. For tonight we'll be mostly cloudy. A few spots of showers are possible. Low temperatures will be in the low 60s. Friday looks like it will start dry. By afternoon scattered showers and storms are expected to pass through the area. A few storms could be strong to possibly severe with damaging wind and some hail possible.

The threat of strong to severe storms returns as May begins ahead of our next cold front. We are now under a level 1 'Marginal' risk of severe weather on Thursday. Rain and storms will end heading into the weekend with a cooler and drier air mass settling into the area. Look for partly cloudy skies tonight. Lows will be in the mid 60s. Wednesday brings a mix of clouds and sunshine. Temperatures will warm into the mid to upper 80s for highs. A stray shower is possible, but most of us will remain dry.

April will wrap up on a warm and mostly dry note. Our next cold front arrives as we roll into May. Some showers and storms will return followed by a cool down into the weekend. Skies will stay clear tonight with temperatures only dropping back into the upper 60s. Expect a partly to mostly sunny Tuesday ahead. There's an outside chance for a shower or storm over Sand Mountain, but most of us will stay dry. Temperatures will be back in the mid to upper 80s for highs.
