Rain lingers today, but drier weather returns for the work week. We'll turn cooler behind the rain with scattered frost possible Monday night and again Tuesday night. Warmer weather will be back later in the week. Sunday brings rain and a few storms this morning tapering to scattered showers into the afternoon. Temperatures will warm into the upper 60s before a cold front starts to cool us down later in the day. Much of next week looks cooler, but generally quiet conditions.

**SATURDAY NIGHT IS A 31 ALERT DAY**Storms returning late Saturday into Saturday night will bring a risk of severe weather with them. Damaging wind, hail and a couple of tornadoes will be possible before the threat ends by Sunday morning. Most of the day Saturday should stay quiet. We'll be mostly cloudy, warm and muggy again with afternoon highs reaching the mid 80s. An initial round of storms will arrive in the Shoals by early this evening and could bring some severe weather with them.

Temperatures will fall back to around 70 for lows. Most of the day Saturday should stay quiet. We'll be mostly cloudy, warm and muggy again with afternoon highs reaching the mid 80s.

Very warm, muggy and mostly dry conditions will continue through Friday. Over the weekend we'll be tracking a cold front that will bring our next best chance of rain and storms along with cooler air for next week. Clouds will fill back in tonight. We'll be breezy and mild again with overnight lows around 70. Friday starts off cloudy. We'll see peeks of sunshine heading into the afternoon. A stray shower or sprinkle is possible, but most of us will again be dry.

Very warm and muggy conditions are ahead for the rest of the week. Some storms could clip the Shoals the next couple of nights, but for most of the area should remain dry until our next cold front pushes through over the weekend. Clouds will fill back in tonight across the area. We'll be mild and muggy with overnight lows in the upper 60s to around 70. Thursday starts with clouds, but we'll see at least partly sunny conditions by afternoon. Highs will be in the mid 80s.
