Qualcomm founder Irwin Jacobs is supporting efforts to expand technological innovation and emerging science at the San Diego Natural History Museum with a $10 million endowment gift. The gift, one of the largest in The Nat’s history, will establish the Joan and Irwin Jacobs Center for Science and Conservation at the museum. Last year as part of its 150th anniversary, The Nat launched its “Here for Nature Capital Campaign” to raise $50 million to expand research into the region’s biodiversity.
