Lately, I’ve been bombarded with dire predictions that ChatGPT will render college writing instructors obsolete. These doomsayers clearly wouldn’t know the first thing about teaching if it hit them with a red-inked rubric. Sure, ChatGPT is a memo-writing marvel—perfect for churning out soul-dead reports about quarterly earnings. Let it have that dreary throne. But if you became a college instructor to teach students how to write memos, you’ve got bigger problems than artificial intelligence.

Uncertainties in polarization anglecalibration in CMB measurements can limit constraints on cosmicbirefringence and other cosmological parameters sensitive topolarization leakage.

LITTLE FALLS (WJON News) - The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of two men allegedly involved in a break-in at a communications tower site near Little Falls. On May 15th, at about 3:41 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office received a call from an employee of Fallsnet reporting two men were recorded on camera attempting to break into the tower site approximately one-mile southwest of Little Falls in Pike Creek Township.

Governor Tim Walz has opened the application process to find two Seventh District Court judges; one to replace retiring Greta Smolnisky, and a judge to replace Sarah Hennesy, who has accepted a position on the Minnesota Supreme Court. The Commission on Judicial Selection is looking for fair, experienced, and civic-minded applicants who will be considered based on integrity, legal knowledge, and judicial temperament.

The Crop Progress Report is published by the U.S. Department of Agriculture every Monday during the growing season. In Monday's report: Corn planting is more than half complete (56%), about average (56%) for this time of year. 14 percent of the corn in Minnesota has emerged. Soybean planting is over 25 percent complete (26%), slightly behind the five-year average (34%). Four percent of this year's soybeans in Minnesota have emerged.
