President Trump overturned four Biden-era efficiency regulations on tankless water heaters, gas stoves, freezers and refrigerators. “It’s all about common sense,” Mr.Trump said Friday in the Oval Office. President Biden signed the regulations into law just days before he left office. They set stricter rules for operating home appliances that Mr. Biden argued would save consumers money and curb greenhouse gas emissions, a key contributor to climate change.

President Trump said raising taxes on the rich is “good politics,” but said he’d be pilloried by the media and politicians on both sides if he were to do so. “I would love to do it, [tax] rich people. I would love to do it frankly, but what we’ll do is that you know, they’ll go around saying, ‘Oh, this is so terrible,’” Mr. Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.
