The Washington Times is a daily newspaper based in the United States, specifically published in a broadsheet format at 3600 New York Avenue NE, Washington, D.C. It was established in 1982 by Sun Myung Moon, the founder of the Unification Church. For many years, it was owned by News World Communications, a global media company linked to the church, until 2010 when it was acquired by a group led by Moon.
