I'm almost never going to applaud someone for scrambling in a 7-on-7 drill, but I'll change my tune this time because it meant Tyler Shough could show off what I've said for a while is his best skill. With the initial read breaking down, the Saints rookie broke "contain" (there's no pass rush in this drill) and rolled out to his left.

There's no sugarcoating things for Kendre Miller as he enters what feels like a sink-or-swim Year 3. Something positive has to happen, and it probably has to happen quickly. The former third round pick has been a near-constant injury question since he was drafted while in the process of rehabbing a major knee injury suffered during his final college game. From that point it's been an array of soft-tissue injuries, sprained ankles and even a concussion keeping him off the field.

Kellen Moore fully understands that stability is a major key to success at any level of football, but the new Saints head coach is more than willing to shake things up early on. Nowhere was that more evident during Thursday's OTA session than along the offensive where, both both tackles from last year were at new positions. Taliese Fuaga shifted back to the right tackle spot he played in college, while Trevor Penning was lined up at left guard, his third different position in three seasons.

The New Orleans Saints have a lot of the same pieces back on the offensive line this season, but it looked a lot different on Thursday to close out the first set of OTAs.That's because the team had shifted Taliese Fuaga over to right tackle, slotted in rookie Kelvin Banks Jr. at left tackle, and kicked former first-round pick Trevor Penning to left guard.

Any second-year player should come into the offseason looking like a more confident version of his rookie self, and that's exactly what Spencer Rattler did this week. He looked decisive working with the first team, hitting all eight of his passes in 7-on-7 drills and doing so impressively. There weren't any late dumpoffs to goose those numbers. Every ball was fired in, including one with so much velocity over the middle that it seemed to knock TE Juwan Johnson off his feet.

Took me 3 weeks to finally remember to ask this question.

Not a dumb question just an amazing answer from Moore 😅 #Saints https://t.co/ganE8ihOEg

Trevor Penning says he’s definitely comfortable with the switch to guard, and it’s a position he played in both high school and college. He said one of his favorite things about it is there’s less waiting for contact/reacting. You get to be the aggressor. #Saints
