Darrel Johnson was appointed city councilor Monday night just months after losing a heated mayoral race against Mayor Suzanne Herstad. Herstad defeated Johnson by just 53 votes.

    DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Severe storms that entered Northern Wisconsin overnight made a mess of the annual Hayward Musky Festival. According to the Hayward Area Chamber of Commerce, many vendor tents were mangled throughout the night, but the festival is running as normal at this time. Crews of volunteers and vendors began cleaning up at around 6:30 this morning, with many locals helping throughout the day as they continue to clean up.
