During my conversation with Lee Jose, there was something hovering above us. The random app on my phone couldn’t seem to translate the embossed red letters in Japanese, which were taking the central ceiling spot of the freshly opened Ippudo Ramen Bar in Uptown Bonifacio. It turns out it wasn’t as complicated as I thought, and I had probably already spotted the same kanji characters in other Ippudo branches in the past.
