The Henry County commissioners recently held the second public hearing for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) projects. As part of the program, two public hearings are required, with the second one taking place after the application is developed but prior to submission to the Office of Community Development. The Henry County commissioners recently received an update from the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT). Patrick Dille, transportation administrator for the Henry County ODOT garage, shared maintenance projects planned for this year include an upgrade to Township Road 11. “We’ve got a turnaround, emergency turnaround out there, that’s in pretty poor condition,” he said. “We’re going to get that updated before the road gets paved.

GRAND RAPIDS — The Toledo Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash on Henry – Lucas County Road near South River Road in Providence Township, Lucas County. According to the patrol, a 2018 Kawasaki KLX140 was northbound on Henry – Lucas County Road at approximately 12:06 a.m. Saturday, driven by Brayden Sadler, 18, of Grand Rapids, while a 2001 Honda TRX400EX was southbound on Henry – Lucas County Road, driven by Jack Rowland, 18, of Perrysburg.
