    Clinton police have identified two people found dead inside a residence on Pershing Boulevard last week. According to a news release, the Clinton Police and Fire Departments had found two people dead when responding at 12:30 p.m. Friday to the 900 block of Pershing Boulevard to conduct a welfare check. On Monday, the Clinton Police Department identified the two people as Shelly Ann Leab, 52, and Brian Keith Witherspoon, 57.

    A Chicago man is in custody in connection with the May 2024 fentanyl-related death of a 44-year-old Clinton woman. Revelle T. Horne, 33, is charged with three counts of possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, a Class C felony which in the State of Iowa is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of $1,370-$13,660.
