According to reports, on Friday, April 11th, Raymundo Juan Reyes Cornelio was arrested and charged for the rape of a child after the girl, who was 11-years-old at the time, gave birth to a baby boy on February 14th.

YAZOO COUNTY, MI - On Friday, April 11th, the Yazoo County Sheriff's Office (YCSO) announced that a former Mississippi chief was arrested and charged with capital murder more than four years after his resignation as chief. According to the Clarion Ledger, deputies responded to a call around 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9th, in reference to a man who had suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The department identified the man as Timothy Byrd, who was found dead at his home off of Dover Road.

HARRISON COUNTY, TX - A report released by authorities with the Harrison County Sheriff's Office (HSCO) stated that former LSU receiver Kryen Lacy, 24, died in an apparent suicide in his car while being pursued by police in Houston. According to CBS News, HCSO said it was first called out to a weapons disturbance by a relative saying Lacy had been involved in a verbal argument with her and that he had discharged a firearm into the ground.

MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Agents with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Newark, New Jersey, have arrested a sushi restaurant owner who was allegedly a spy for China. According to the New York Post, 61-year-old Ming Xi Zhang, also know as "Sushi John," was arrested on March 24th. Zhang is the owner of Ya Ya Noodles in Montgomery Township. In April of 2024, Zhang was convicted of acting as an unregistered agent of the Chinese government and sentenced to three years' probation.

JACKSON, MI - Authorities have announced that a man has been arrested and charged for his connection to a traffic stop shooting that left a Capitol Police K-9 injured. According to reports, the incident happened on Thursday, April 10th, in the area of Interstate 55 south in Jackson, Mississippi. According to NBC News, the inmate, Mikal Mahdi, gave no final statement and did not look to his right toward the nine witnesses in the room sitting behind bulletproof glass and bars. SPOTSYLVANIA, VA - Authorities have confirmed that three people are dead and three others have been injured in a shooting on Tuesday evening, April 8th. As of this writing, one or more of the shooters remain at large. According to the Associated Press (AP), around 5:30 p.m., multiple 911 calls came in about a shooting at a town house complex in Spotsylvania County, just outside Fredericksburg. According to the New York Post, police said that the 25-year-old victim was walking on the corner of Wooster and Broome streets when the man smashed a glass bottle, crept up behind her, and launched at her with the broken shards.
