The Cathedral of the Incarnation, begun in 1910. Vanderbilt's Kirkland Hall clock tower, dedicated in 1875 and rebuilt in 1906 after a fire. Brand-new high rises. The BMI building on Music Row, the Tennessee State Capitol, the Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown complex. And cranes, of course, in every direction.

Political reaction to President Donald Trump's announcement of attacks on Iranian nuclear sites has been swift. "President Trump has made a courageous decision to seek peace through strength," Gov. Bill Lee posted on X. "Maria and I pray earnestly for the safety of our troops across the Middle East and for the sovereignty of Israel."Both of Tennessee's U.S. senators posted to the site as well. Like Lee and Trump, both are Republicans.
