DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. — A man who was reported missing a month ago has been found dead in his apartment, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said on Monday. Jason Thomas Owen, 51, hadn't been since or heard from since March 10. The sheriff's office said on March 25 that he was possibly a danger to himself. On Monday, the sheriff's office said Owen was found dead in his apartment.

American flamingos have a lifespan of about 40 to 60 years, so Freddie is up there in years.

DENVER — Former Denver Nuggets star Carmelo Anthony has been elected to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2025, according to multiple sources. ESPN and other media reported his election on Wednesday morning. Anthony was drafted third overall by the Nuggets in 2003 and played in Denver until 2011. DENVER — A man was sentenced on Tuesday to 44 years in prison for a fatal shooting on Christmas Eve in 2022, according to the Denver District Attorney's Office. Gregory Snell, who was 53 years old at the time of the shooting, was sentenced to 44 years for second-degree murder and 12 years for aggravated robbery. The two sentences will run concurrently, the DA's Office said. On Dec. 24, 2022, Benjamin Williams, 40, was found shot to death in a hotel in the 6700 block of East Colfax Avenue.

AURORA, Colo — A 41-year-old man was killed Friday morning in a shooting that Aurora Police said possibly stemmed from domestic violence. Aurora Police responded to the shooting about 9:15 a.m. in the 10700 block of East Exposition Avenue, which is just east of South Havana Street. Once on the scene, officers found the man with a gunshot wound. They performed lifesaving actions until medical responders arrived and took the man to a local hospital, where he died, police said.

DENVER — It's a boy! That was the answer from a recent gender reveal at Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance, which posted video of the big event to social media accounts on Thursday. Mother wallaby Adelaide pulled the string herself on a box hanging from a tree in the zoo's Down Under exhibit to release strings of blue confetti. She had moral support from Alfalfa, who watched from the sidelines. The joey, or baby wallaby, was born in September to Adelaide and Cricket.
