    Leading names from the equestrian world gathered in central London on Friday night (9 May) for the world premiere of the film Big Star: The Nick Skelton Story, which is released in UK cinemas from 6 June.     US showjumper Kent Farrington has taken the lead in the Longines world rankings, overtaking long-time world number one Henrik von Eckermann of Sweden. Marking the end of an incredible era in the sport, Kent climbed above the Swedish multi-medallist in the latest standings issued by the FEI on 6 May. Henrik had climbed to the top spot way back in August 2022.

    The highly anticipated film charting the story of double Olympic showjumping gold medallist Nick Skelton will hit British cinemas next month. Big Star: The Nick Skelton Story will premiere in London at the beginning of May, then will be released nationwide. “I’m really looking forward to it, hopefully it will be good for the sport,” Nick told H&H.
