    The Caldwell County girls’ track and field team delivered a strong performance at the Class 1A Region 1 Meet, earning a second-place finish with 106 points, just three points shy of region champion Murray (109). The team will send 12 entries to the state meet in Lexington. Caldwell's top individual performances include, Kyndelle Mahaffey repeated as regional champion in the 100-meter wheelchair dash, clocking in at 30.80 seconds. Addison Middleton-Mobley qualified for state in three events.

    The Lyon County Lyons put together a three-run fifth inning to power past the Caldwell County Tigers 6-2 and advance to the Second Region semifinals on Monday afternoon. For the third time this season, Brady Belt kept the Caldwell offense quiet. Belt tossed a complete game, allowing two earned runs over seven hits while striking out six and walking one. Caldwell got the initial 2-0 lead until Belt settled in.

    Brylee Butts’ grand slam carried the Caldwell County Lady Tigers into the regional semifinals with a 6-3 win over the Union County Bravettes. Butts, who was recognized before the game as the 2024-2025 2nd Region Athletic Directors Association Female Athlete of the Year, hit a bases-loaded home run over the left field fence in the bottom of the second inning to give the Caldwell the 5-0 advantage.

    Despite taking an early 1-0 lead, it would be the only offense the Caldwell County Lady Tigers would deliver as they fell 4-1 to the Webster County Lady Trojans Friday night on the road in Dixon. Chloe Papineau was strong in the circle for the Lady Trojans. She allowed just one earned run over five hits while striking out nine and walking none. The lone run for the Lady Tigers came in the top of the third. Harper Holeman doubled home Daelen Kizzee who singled on a line drive to left.

    A dominant performance from Brylee Butts fueled the Caldwell County Lady Tigers to a pair of victories on Saturday at the annual Best of the West tournament. Thirteen proved to be the magic number, as Caldwell County scored 13 runs in back-to-back wins over Oldham County and Pulaski County. The day began with a 13-3 run-rule victory over Oldham County in just five innings, driven by Butts’ explosive bat.
