Tawas City Manager Annge Horning stated that the documents were presented to the planning commission at their April 1 meeting, and that the group took action to recommend that the city council approve the plans.

    AuSABLE Twp. – A well-attended springtime spectacle is making its return to the area this Saturday, April 19, as Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan will be presenting the fourth annual Oscoda Community Easter Egg Hunt. The event will go on from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at AuSable Township Children’s Park, which is situated off of Harbor Street, between O’Toole and Stockman streets.

    TAWAS CITY – Kimberly Ann Hayes, 38, Oscoda, appeared in Iosco County 23rd Circuit Court on Monday morning, to be sentenced on a felony charge of armed robbery. As ordered by Circuit Court Judge David C. Riffel, Hayes was sentenced to the Michigan Department of Corrections for a period of five years and 10 months to 20 years, with credit for 18 days served. She is to also pay restitution to the involved business, as well as other fees and costs.
